This project involved the adaptive reuse of an existing commercial building
to provide space for the Agape Community Health Center in Plymouth
for Metropolitan Community Health Services, Inc.
The funding source required that the project include renovation of an existing
unoccupied building and that it create jobs. The local planning board required that
the exterior design retain the character of the original building.
        The existing building had deteriorated
to the point that the entire roof was leaking and part of the roof had collapsed.
The design connected the existing main building to a shed at the rear of the property
with a new addition. The roof was replaced, the exterior walls were
painted and the windows were reglazed. New interior walls were added to
accommodate the new use of the building. The toilet facilities were designed to
be accessible. The facility provides space for integrated care management including medical,
dental and pharmacy. Support space includes a reception room with waiting area,
a conference room, employee break room and storage spaces.
